It looks like there's going to be a TV series based on the Terminator movies, maybe Gov. Arnold will take a guest spot:
'Terminator' retools
Fox TV series will breathe life back into Connor family
"The "Terminator" franchise is rising again, this time as a Fox TV series. Andy Vajna and Mario Kassar's C2 Pictures, which produced the most recent "Terminator" feature, has pacted with Warner Bros. TV and scribe Josh Friedman ("War of the Worlds") for the tentatively titled "The Sarah Connor Chronicles." Skein will focus on robo-warrior Sarah Connor and her savior son John Connor."

Hm. I can't imagine anyone besides Linda Hamilton playing Sarah Connor. Unless they find someone who really looks like her.
And Terminator without Arnie? Hmm.

I'm bet they'll do a bad job of it! The funny thing is that thinking back to the series is that the first movie was so low budget, but the last one was so high budget with billion dollar special effects. What made that first movie work was the writing and the timing of the film, I have to wonder of you can re-create that in a TV show, or even if there is enough content to pad a series on a TV budget.
By the way Swifty - I love your blog!

Gee, thanks, Mike. :) But yeah, there's no way I can be optimistic about the series, even though I'm one of the few people in the world who genuinely liked T3 (the ending, man, the ending!)

I think they improved each film as it came out, bringing it up a step each time. It's to their credit that they didn't do a T4, which perhaps is why it's not a natural reaction to like the idea of a new series.
