A Fan Film That Could Make the Kessle Run in Less Than 15 Seconds

A teaser has been released for the upcoming fan film Star Wars: Uncut. For those of you who haven’t heard about the project, the film consists of 15 second clips by fans in an attempt recreate  Episode IV: A New Hope in its entirety. The trailer highlights the variety of methods used to create each scene with everything from Legos and toys, to pets and food. I about died when I saw the hamburger Millenium Falcon take off, making its escape from a cardboard Death Star.

While some might scoff at the idea of watching random fans doing their best impersonations of Han and Greedo — let’s be frank,  Han shot first — the fact that the quality varies from scene to scene will at least be worth a few laughs, and should serve to keep you entertained. The film is currently set to be screened at the CPH PIX Copenhagen film festival on April 19th, and plans are reportedly in the works for potential NYC screenings in the near future.
