First Terminator: Genisys Trailer Features T-1000

Terminator: Genisys

We’ve got the first footage of Terminator: Genisys, the reboot of the franchise that also sees Arnold Schwarzenegger return to his iconic role. Apparently, not just the T-800 is back, as we get a glimpse of a T-1000. I don’t think Robert Patrick is returning for this one, but since the T-1000 could look any way it wants, that’s not an issue. Honestly, everything looks solid, and that time machine is particularly cool, but I just don’t see reboots like this getting as much play as the originals. Read more…

Arnold Schwarzenegger Does Any Line You Want

Posted by Ben Huber on Oct 20, 2013 in Cinema

ahnold

On his trip back into the movie spotlight, Arnold Schwarzenegger has done a lot of fun and goofy self-aware things. His most recent endeavor is a thread on Reddit where he takes suggestions for lines to record and share on YouTube. Granted, he’s promoting his new movie (Escape Plan), but some of these lines are pretty great. I hope he does some of the more bizarre ones too — they could make great answering messages. My favorite that he’s done so far is “Put that cookie down! Now!” I’ve included a few more below the jump. Keep an eye on his YouTube channel if you wanna see more! Read more…

Arnold Schwarzenegger is Back As Conan

Posted by Ben Huber on Oct 27, 2012 in Cinema

conan

Poor Jason Momoa – he was a good Conan, stuck in a bad movie – and now he’ll never get a second chance. Arnold Schwarzenegger has signed on with Universal Pictures to return and play Conan in a new film called (to everyone’s surprise, I’m sure) The Legend of Conan. I’m sure Arnold has been missing the cameras, but this whole situation seems hilarious to me. This movie better be amazingly terrible or actually good, because no one wants another middling Conan film. Funnily enough, the producer went out of his way to say this new film skips the second Conan (1984). Just smile and nod, I suppose. Read more…

Cap Off Your Weekend With 100 Schwarzenegger Quotes

Posted by Tim Sheehy on Apr 30, 2012 in Cinema

I’ve always wanted to post one of these Schwarzenegger montages, but I never really had the chance. Of course, using the “top 100 quotes” will probably be a bit of an overkill, but that’s okay. I’ll probably have to move on to Jason Statham quotes next, but let’s be honest, none of his one-liners have ever been as campy or, by virtue of that fact, entertaining. On the bright side, now that Schwarzenegger’s making his return feature films, someone might decide to film another 80s action flick — oh wait, they have. The Expendables 2 will hit theaters August 16th. Let’s hope they release another awful set of promotional posters for that one.

Pointless and Excessive? The Expendables 2 Trailer

Posted by Tim Sheehy on Dec 14, 2011 in Cinema

Much like G.I. Joe: Retaliation, The Expendables 2 is one of those films that has the potential be much better than the first, or just really really bad. However, unlike the one for G.I. Joe, the trailer for The Expendables 2 doesn’t really help its case. It actually starts out promising. Bruce Willis mentions something to Stallone about having to pay back his debt, but that’s it. Suddenly, we’re treated to an impressive list of action stars with some nifty cut-aways and nothing more. There’s something ironic about spending the last 30 seconds of that trailer just list the stars. Then again, after the first film — whose plot could be summed up in one word, “dismal,” — we really shouldn’t expect much. Let’s just hope there’s more to it than a few explosions.

Stick Around for Predator: The Musical

Posted by Tim Sheehy on Apr 5, 2011 in Cinema

Unlike The Book of Mormon,  Predator isn’t quite broadway material. However, if someone told me Schwarzenegger planned on making one, I’d be there any way. Rather than waiting for that fantasy to come true, we can settle for the Kaplan brothers’ latest musical parody — and, regrettably, the final one featuring Arnold — Predator: the Musical. Like their previous videos, some of which are pretty fantastic, we’re treated to a cast of impersonators singing along to a pretty convincing soundalike of the actual score for the film. Even if you’re not fond of musicals, you’ll probably end up loving it.

“Luke! I Am Your Chopper!”

Posted by Gia Manry on Aug 7, 2010 in Star Wars

Arnold Schwarzenegger as Darth Vader. Errr, the Emperor.

Okay, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s popular line from Predators isn’t used in this clip, but hey, “chopper” kind of rhymes with “father,” right? An enterprising Star Wars fan decided to attach some of the Terminator’s dialogue from a variety of his films, from Twins to End of Days, which puts a nice and remarkably different spin on Vader.
