<p>As a <em>Star Wars</em> fanboy I&#8217;m quite impressed with the level of detail in this <em><a href="http://www.shopncsx.com/kubrickstarwarsdxseries1.aspx" rel="nofollow">Kubrick Star Wars DX Series 1</a></em> which is based on <em>Return of the Jedi</em>. Featured in the set are Luke Skywalker as a Jedi Knight, C-3PO &#038; Salacious B. Crumb, R2-D2, Chewbacca, Amanaman the bounty hunter, Bib Fortuna and extra parts to build a Jabba the Hutt! These goodies will be shipping around the end of June however pre-orders are already being accepted.<span id="more-13984"></span></p>
<p><a href="http://www.fanboy.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/star_wars_kubrick_dx_series1_dio.jpg"><img src="http://www.fanboy.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/star_wars_kubrick_dx_series1_dio-400x300.jpg" alt="Kubrick Star Wars DX Series 1" title="Kubrick Star Wars DX Series 1" width="400" height="300" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-13986" /></a></p>
<p>I have to say that Kubrick Jabba has a happy quality to him that you don&#8217;t see in the film — it almost looks like you might not mind hanging out with him:</p>

<p>It was nothing less than a historic moment when director George Lucas decided to feature a trash compactor scene in <em>Star Wars</em>: Sure Stanley Kubrick broke ground in <em>2001: A Space Odyssey</em> by showing <a href="http://www.metacafe.com/watch/337233/2001_sci_fi_comedy_the_toilet_is_out_of_service/">a bathroom scene</a> — but it look the bold vision of Lucas to take us dumpster diving into a space station the size of a planet (or small moon if you want to quibble). And that why <span style="text-decoration: line-through;">the Franklin Mint</span>, err <a href="http://www.entertainmentearth.com/hitlist.asp?company=Gentle+Giant">Gentle Giant Products</a> has decided to commemorate this milestone in cinematic history with the <em><a href="http://www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?prod=1&#038;ts=2009071501&#038;number=GE9104">Star Wars Trash Compactor Bookends Statue</a></em>.<span id="more-8324"></span> </p>
<p><img src="http://www.fanboy.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/star-wars-trash-compactor-bookends-02.jpg" alt="Star Wars Trash Compactor Bookends Statue" title="Star Wars Trash Compactor Bookends Statue" width="400" height="232" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-8326" /></p>
<p>Done to the highest level of accuracy this book supporting diorama depicts clueless Han Solo striving to brace the moving walls while Princess Leia looks on in disbelief. On the other side Chewbacca puts good old fashioned brute force to work while looking at sad Luke Skywalker who seems a bit too distracted by a bit of wildlife in the corner. For added effect we recommend purchasing a R2-RD to place in another corner of your room — and for extra authenticity gently mist your replica with vinegar to give it that garbage smell. </p>

<p>A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away there were these cute little mice! I know this sounds like we&#8217;re kitbashing <em>Star Wars</em> with the <em>Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy</em> but these adorable sci fi rodents are the precious creations of <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5524984">the House of Mouse</a> and can be found on Etsy <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5524984&#038;section_id=5577003">on their very own page</a>. There are 14 mice in the entire collection so far and they run between $35 and $40, but bet of all if your favorite character is missing they&#8217;re open to doing custom orders. Shown above is Princess Leia mouse and below is Darth Vader mouse.<span id="more-6685"></span></p>
<p><img src="http://www.fanboy.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/starwars-mice-09.jpg" alt="Star Wars Mice from the House of Mouse on Etsy: Darth Vader Mouse" title="Star Wars Mice from the House of Mouse on Etsy: Darth Vader Mouse" width="400" height="328" class="size-full wp-image-6686" /></p>
<p>Chewbacca mouse is one of my favorites — although he seems much cuter than the wookie in the film:</p>
<p><img src="http://www.fanboy.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/starwars-mice-07.jpg" alt="Star Wars Mice from the House of Mouse on Etsy: Chewbacca Mouse" title="Star Wars Mice from the House of Mouse on Etsy: Chewbacca Mouse" width="400" height="328" class="size-full wp-image-6688" /></p>
<p>Help me Obiwan Kenobi mouse — you&#8217;re my only hope:</p>
<p><img src="http://www.fanboy.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/starwars-mice-02.jpg" alt="Star Wars Mice from the House of Mouse on Etsy: Obiwan Kenobi Mouse " title="Star Wars Mice from the House of Mouse on Etsy: Obiwan Kenobi Mouse " width="400" height="328" class="size-full wp-image-6693" /></p>
<p>The force is strong in this Yoda mouse:</p>
<p><img src="http://www.fanboy.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/starwars-mice-01.jpg" alt="Star Wars Mice from the House of Mouse on Etsy: Yoda Mouse" title="Star Wars Mice from the House of Mouse on Etsy: Yoda Mouse" width="400" height="328" class="size-full wp-image-6694" /></p>
<p>Shown here is a Stormtrooper mouse, although he looks kind of nervous which is in itself quite charming:</p>
<p><img src="http://www.fanboy.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/starwars-mice-06.jpg" alt="Star Wars Mice from the House of Mouse on Etsy: Stormtrooper Mouse" title="Star Wars Mice from the House of Mouse on Etsy: Stormtrooper Mouse" width="400" height="328" class="size-full wp-image-6689" /></p>
<p>This Boba Fett mouse features quite a bit of detail from his armor plates to his handy blaster:</p>
<p><img src="http://www.fanboy.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/starwars-mice-05.jpg" alt="Star Wars Mice from the House of Mouse on Etsy: Boba Fett Mouse " title="Star Wars Mice from the House of Mouse on Etsy: Boba Fett Mouse " width="400" height="328" class="size-full wp-image-6690" /></p>
<p>R2-D2 mouse looks like a droid you&#8217;d want to have around the house:</p>
<p><img src="http://www.fanboy.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/starwars-mice-04.jpg" alt="Star Wars Mice from the House of Mouse on Etsy: R2-D2 Mouse" title="Star Wars Mice from the House of Mouse on Etsy: R2-D2 Mouse" width="400" height="328" class="size-full wp-image-6691" /></p>
<p>And lastly normally I HATE Ewoks, but this one is so moe that I&#8217;ll have to make an exception: </p>
<p><img src="http://www.fanboy.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/starwars-mice-03.jpg" alt="Star Wars Mice from the House of Mouse on Etsy: Ewok Mouse" title="Star Wars Mice from the House of Mouse on Etsy: Ewok Mouse" width="400" height="328" class="size-full wp-image-6692" /></p>
