Hello Kitty with Monster Hunter Headgear (and Vise Versa)

Posted by Michael Pinto on Jan 17, 2011 in Hobbies and Collections, Videogames

Hello Kitty Monster Hunter Masks

I read about the mythical Hello Kitty/Monster Hunter costumes over a year ago, but I didn’t get a really good luck until some kind folks posted them to Flickr. I have to admit that there’s something very surrealistic to the idea of wearing a costume of Hello Kitty wearing a costume and then the other way around. Read more…

Hello Kitty Warriors t-shirt

The Warriors was a brilliant low budget sci fi horror film set in a future New York City dominated by gangs. Recently Tony Scott announced that he’d be doing a remake of the film, although it looks like Hello Kitty has beaten him to the punch with this t-shirt showing our cute feline armed with a baseball bat. Can you dig it? Read more…

Hello Kitty as the characters in Harukanaru Toki no Naka de

This is being done to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the franchise which first started off in 2000 as a PlayStation game. I’m Not Ashamed to Have Hello Kitty as My Lunch Date

Posted by Michael Pinto on Jul 31, 2010 in Hobbies and Collections

Hello Kitty Ball Bento Box

A while ago The New York Times has declared that poor Hello Kitty is out of style — however I think the fact that she’s out of style makes her even cooler as it eliminates the wannabes: Not only that but I think this now allows kitty to graduate to being a mere cult feline to a timeless classic icon. So to show your good taste I wouldn’t be ashamed to be spotted with this Hello Kitty Ball Bento Box which comes with a cute little red carrying case.

Kitty Knickknacks Worth of the Kremlin

Hello Kitty Formation Arts

This ever so kawaii collection of Hello Kitty Formation Arts miniatures reminds me a great deal of those famed bejeweled Fabergé eggs (Яйца Фаберже). Aspiring nouveau riche feline fans can decorate their drawing room (didn’t you always want one of those?) with kitty characters who come fashioned as a roper Parisian mademoiselle, a Chinese Empress, a Greek goddess with leafy wreath on her head, the Queen of England with a scepter in her paw and as an Arabian belly dancer. Although be warned: At $65.90 for the entire collection lesser financed fans might find themselves going more broke than baroque. Read more…

A Kitty Kitchen Must for a Spice Girl

Posted by Michael Pinto on Mar 20, 2010 in Hobbies and Collections

Hello Kitty Kitchen Spice Rack

Yes technically this is the Hello Kitty Kitchen Spice Rack however judging by the icons kitty has a bit of a sweet tooth as there are clearly symbols for cupcakes, coffee and jam! My guess is that you should put in sprinkles into the cupcake canister, hazelnut into the coffee canister (or maybe sugar?) and I still haven’t figured out why you’d have a strawberry jam icon in a spice rack. All in all there are eight containers — two of which come pre-filled with salt and pepper. Bien manger manquez chat!

They Framed Kitty!

Posted by Michael Pinto on Feb 21, 2010 in Hobbies and Collections, Tech

Hello Kitty Digital Photo Frame

Slowly digital photo frames are going from a novelty item for geeks to decor for the masses. Yet most of the frames that I’ve seen thus far are quite tradition, so I was please to come across this Hello Kitty Digital Photo Frame which seems to have a bit of fun with the concept. Granted kitty has so few facial features that it’s a bit hard to see her eyes and nose disappear, but they effect is that it looks like you are looking at what kitty is thinking inside of her head. In addition to storing 16 gigs of images it also looks like kitty can show a calendar or a clock: Read more…
