<p>Have you ever wondered what the weather outside would be like if you were in a galaxy far, far away? Well, now you can know, thanks in part to Tom Scott&#8217;s <a href="http://www.tomscott.com/weather/starwars/" target="_blank"><em>Star Wars Weather Forecast</em></a>. The site uses Yahoo!&#8217;s weather service to determine the forecast for any city you choose and presents it to you in terms any true <em>Star Wars</em> fan could understand. If it&#8217;s muggy and humid, you&#8217;ll get Dagobah. Temperate but cloudy? Endor, maybe. Currently New York City is like Naboo:<span id="more-15220"></span></p>
<p><a href="http://www.fanboy.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/starwars-weather-01.jpg"><img src="http://www.fanboy.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/starwars-weather-01-400x251.jpg" alt="Star Wars interactive weather map" title="Star Wars interactive weather map" width="400" height="251" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-15228" /></a></p>
<p>Australia is like Yavin 4: </p>
<p><a href="http://www.fanboy.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/starwars-weather-02.jpg"><img src="http://www.fanboy.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/starwars-weather-02-400x251.jpg" alt="Star Wars interactive weather map" title="Star Wars interactive weather map" width="400" height="251" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-15229" /></a></p>
<p>And for the record Iceland is like Hoth:</p>
<p><a href="http://www.fanboy.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/starwars-weather-03.jpg"><img src="http://www.fanboy.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/starwars-weather-03-400x251.jpg" alt="Star Wars interactive weather map" title="Star Wars interactive weather map" width="400" height="251" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-15230" /></a></p>
<p>You&#8217;d think that if the Rebel Alliance had access to this weather service, they would have picked someplace a little nicer than Hoth for a hidden base. Sure, it was cold, and remote, but if they were able to hide their base on Yavin from the Empire for so long, maybe a nice villa on Naboo might have been a better choice. Then again, I&#8217;m sure anything beats Alderaan:</p>
<p><a href="http://www.fanboy.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/alderaan.jpg"><img src="http://www.fanboy.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/alderaan-400x291.jpg" alt="Star Wars Interactive Weather Map" title="Star Wars Interactive Weather Map" width="400" height="291" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-15231" /></a></p>
