Hyrule Historia, a Zelda 25th Anniversary Art Book, Has a Timeline

A beautiful new art book to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of The Legend of Zelda is surprisingly cool of Nintendo, who hardly ever lets concept art seep outside the confines of their company. This book features 274 pages packed full with content. But in the listing for the book there is a mention of a “historical timeline of Hyrule” being contained in it.

While I’m certain this is a timeline in only the most basic sense, Zelda fans have long been taunted by Nintendo about the connections between Zelda games. To me, this may be interesting, but there’s no reason to be playing Zelda games and be deeply concerned about the placement of one game before or after the other. I’d bet that this is just another knowing wink by Nintendo, not really revealing anything of substance. The only substance to be found here, is in the massive collection of beautiful artwork. Hopefully Nintendo of America will bring this over here pronto.
