Ten Years Ago: Nintendo64 Promo Film

On September 29th, 1996 (ten years ago) the Nintendo 64 was released in North America, this video follows a bunch of gamer fanboys playing with the new system:

It’s funny to think back to that era, it seems like yesterday yet it was ten years ago. In many ways so much has changed, back then the main competition was Sega and Sony (no Microsoft Xbox on the scene yet). The Nintendo64 was also odd because it didn’t use CD-ROMs, but old school cartridges. But the cool thing about Nintendo was that they believed that it was more about the game design rather than the hardware itself, which is something to be admired.
