Kick-Ass 2

It’s always cool to see a movie early, so here’s something you might be interested in. Kick-Ass 2 has a few early screenings on Wednesday, August 14, as part of a Fan First screening program. Moviegoers in Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, and Dallas can go to Fandango and buy tickets now. Fans will get special bonuses too, such as free snacks, a limited edition poster, and a free download of the song “No Strings” by Chloe Howl. Tickets are $25, and the way these things work, I’d imagine the tickets will go fast. So if you’re going to see Kick-Ass 2 and you live in or near one of those major cities, you might as well see it early and tell your friends! Read more…

New Kick-Ass 2 Trailer Focuses on Hit-Girl

Posted by Ben Huber on Mar 29, 2013 in Cinema, Comic Books

Here’s a new international trailer that takes a bit of a closer look at Hit-Girl’s story in the upcoming Kick-Ass 2. She’s trying to take a break from the crime-fighting business, maybe even “retire,” but it looks like no matter what she’s getting pulled back in. The second movie definitely feels cheaper than the original, but we’ll have to see the final film to judge everything. I also appreciate that they’re just simply titling it “Kick-Ass 2,” and not including some silly subtitle like “Kick-Ass 2: Kick Harder!” or “Kick-Ass: The Reckoning.” Simplicity is nice. Kick-Ass 2 Promises Tons Of Vigilante Superheroes

Kick-Ass 2

Well this is a pleasant surprise, kind of just like the first film. MTV premiered a trailer for Kick-Ass 2, the sequel to 2010’s adaptation of Mark Miller’s comic. And it’s looking pretty nice! Everyone seems spirited, and Jim Carrey’s inclusion doesn’t seem too forced. My only concern is that it is directed by some no-name instead of the talented Matthew Vaughn, who is only producing this time around. Still, it may turn out good. Check out the trailer below, but be warned it’s a red band trailer full of naughty words that are potentially NSFW. Read more…

First Official Image of Kick-Ass 2 – Featuring Jim Carrey

Posted by Ben Huber on Jan 21, 2013 in Cinema, Comic Books

Here, let’s start your week off right, with the first official Kick-Ass 2 picture of Jim Carrey as Colonel Stars & Stripes and his dog, Sophia. Yes, you heard right, Jim Carrey is in Kick-Ass 2. I’m positive it will be hilarious. Aaron Taylor-Johnson is also there as the titular Kick-Ass, but really, the news here is a non-fuzzy camera phone image of Carrey. Although here’s something to fix in post before the film arrives: the word “Toronto” in the background. Pretty sure Kick-Ass doesn’t take place in Canada, guys. Anyway – I’m excited to see this, as I enjoyed the first film, flaws and all!
